Deacon Michael Receives MDiv
Huntington -- On Tuesday, May 21, 2013, Deacon Michael Edathil received his Master of Divinity degree from the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception. The degree is awarded at the successful completion of four years of theological training. Along with his classmates, he received his Master of Divinity (MDiv) from the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception. In addition to the MDiv degree, the Seminary offers a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies for candidates to the permanent diaconate, as well as a Master of Arts degree for seminarians and laity. And so, many others also graduated on this day.
Bishop Eusebius and the bishop’s secretary, Rev. Abraham Lukose, attended the ceremony representing the Exarchate. Members of Deacon Edathil's family were also in attendance. The Exarchate is grateful to Bishop Murphy for his assistance in providing scholarships so that Deacon Edathil might study at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception.
Deacon Michael will be ordained to the priesthood on July 6, 2013.
