New York Tri-State Regional Youth Night

The annual Youth Night for the New York Tri-state region was held on January 11, 2014 under the direction of the MCYM Tri-State Regional Board. The evening started at 5:30 pm with Evening prayer followed by Welcome Speech by Abraham Thomas (Regional President) and Director's Address by Rev. Fr. Michael Edathil. Msgr. Richard Figliozzi, Pastor of St. Catherine of Sienna Parish and Administrator of St. Vincent De Paul Parish, Elmont gave the Keynote address. He reminded the audience about the need for prayer to know and accept the will of God in one's life, especially during difficult situations. Various cultural programs of the highest quality were presented by the youth from New Jersey, New Rochelle, Rockland, and Elmont Cathedral parishes. The evening ended with Vote of Thanks by Bryant Geevarghese (Regional Secretary) followed by dinner. There were about 200 people present at Youth Night. Special word of appreciation to Rev. Fr. Michael Edathil, the Tri-State Regional Board, the priests, and the participants whose dedication and talents made the Youth Night a wonderful success!
