Two Seminarians Receive the Minor Order of Heupadyakno

New Hyde Park, NY - June 20, 2012

The bishop of the Exarchate, Most Rev. Thomas Mar Eusebius, conferred the minor order of Heupadyakno on two of the Exarchate's seminarians, Lintu Markose and Michael Edathil. The Holy Qurbono was celebrated in the larger chapel of the Bishop's House. The Chancellor, Very Rev. Augustine Mangalath, and Rev. Frs. Sathyan Antony, OIC, and Pradeep Mammen (Archeparchy of Tiruvalla) concelebrated with His Excellency. The Bishop's Secretary, Rev. Fr. Abraham Lukose, assisted the Bishop.

Brother Lintu Markose has finished his theological training. Brother Michael Edathil will be entering his fourth year of theological studies at St. Joseph’s Seminary in Dunwoodie, New York, later this year.

On July 14, 2012, both of these seminarians will be ordained to the Sacred Order of the Diaconate by His Excellency at St. Vincent DePaul Church in Elmont, New York.
