Inauguration of New Pastoral Center Auditorium Marks Milestone for St. Mary Queen of Peace Syro-Malankara Catholic Eparchy

The St. Mary Queen of Peace Syro-Malankara Catholic Eparchy in the USA and Canada celebrated a historic milestone on January 20, 2024, with the blessing and inauguration of its new Pastoral Center Auditorium. Presided over by His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Philipos Mar Stephanos, Eparchial Bishop, the ceremony marked a significant moment in the Eparchy's history.

The day began at 11:00 AM with a solemn blessing by His Excellency Most Rev. Philipos Mar Stephanos, emphasizing the Pastoral Center's role in advancing the Eparchy's spiritual mission. Following the blessing, attendees gathered for an inaugural meeting filled with poignant moments and reflections.

Welcome Speech by Rt. Rev. Msgr. Augustine Mangalth Corepiscopo: The Vicar General of the Eparchy warmly welcomed guests and highlighted the Pastoral Center's significance in meeting the spiritual needs of the community.

Opening Address by His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Philipos Mar Stephanos: The Eparchial Bishop articulated the vision behind the Pastoral Center, emphasizing its pivotal role in fostering spiritual growth.

Lighting of the Lamp: Symbolizing enlightenment and guidance, this traditional ceremony marked a symbolic beginning for the Pastoral Center.

Chief Guest Address by Rt. Rev. Johncy Itty, Ph.D.: Rt. Rev. Johncy Itty of the Episcopal Church underscored the importance of such centers in nurturing spiritual development within communities.
