Bishop Philipos Mar Stephanos Attends 25th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral

His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Philipos Mar Stephanos, Eparchial Bishop of St. Mary, Queen of Peace Syro-Malankara Catholic Eparchy in the USA and Canada, attended the 25th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York on September 10, 2026.

The Mass, celebrated by Archbishop Ronald Hicks of the Archdiocese of New York, drew an assembly of cardinals, bishops, priests, religious, and faithful, along with survivors, first responders, and government officials, including former President Joseph R. Biden Jr., Mayor Zohran Mamdani, and Governor Kathy Hochul.

Bishop Stephanos joined the gathering as part of the solemn tribute honouring the victims of the September 11 attacks and the first responders and frontline workers who continue to serve in their memory.
