Jer 6:16-21

16Thus says the LORD:

Stand by the earliest roads,

ask the pathways of old,*

“Which is the way to good?” and walk it;

thus you will find rest for yourselves.

But they said, “We will not walk it.”l

17I raised up watchmen* for them:

“Pay attention to the sound of the trumpet!”

But they said, “We will not pay attention!”

18Therefore hear, O nations,

and know, O earth,

what I will do with them:

19See, I bring evil upon this people,

the fruit of their own schemes,

Because they did not pay attention to my words,

because they rejected my law.m

20Of what use to me is incense that comes from Sheba,

or sweet cane from far-off lands?

Your burnt offerings find no favor with me,

your sacrifices do not please me.n

21Therefore, thus says the LORD:

See, I will place before this people

obstacles to trip them up;

Parents and children alike,

neighbors and friends shall perish.o

1 Cor 16:13-24

Exhortation and Greetings. 13Be on your guard, stand firm in the faith, be courageous, be strong. 14Your every act should be done with love.

15I urge you, brothers—you know that the household of Stephanash is the firstfruits of Achaia and that they have devoted themselves to the service of the holy ones— 16be subordinate to such people and to everyone who works and toils with them. 17I rejoice in the arrival of Stephanas, Fortunatus, and Achaicus, because they made up for your absence, 18for they refreshed my spirit as well as yours. So give recognition to such people.i

19* The churches of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Prisca together with the church at their house send you many greetings in the Lord.j 20All the brothers greet you. Greet one another with a holy kiss.k

21I, Paul, write you this greeting in my own hand.l 22If anyone does not love the Lord, let him be accursed.* Marana tha.m 23The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.n 24My love to all of you in Christ Jesus.

Jn 10:14-16

14I am the good shepherd, and I know mine and mine know me, 15just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I will lay down my life for the sheep.e 16I have other sheep* that do not belong to this fold. These also I must lead, and they will hear my voice, and there will be one flock, one shepherd.f
