Clergy Retreat 2024

The Syro-Malankara Catholic Eparchy's annual retreat took place from September 30 to October 4, 2024, at the serene Don Bosco Retreat Center nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Rockland. The retreat saw the participation of His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Philipos Mar Stephanos and 19 priests, who were guided by Rev. Fr. Daey Kunnath.

The Eparchial Bishop, Most Rev. Dr. Philipos Mar Stephanos, attended the Plenary Assembly of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) held from September 23rd to 27th, 2024, in Beaupré, Quebec. Rev. Fr. Abraham Lukose Kizhakkedath has been relieved of his responsibilities as Pastor of the St. Thomas Syro-Malankara Catholic Church in London, Ontario, and as the Moderator of the St. Mary Syro-Malankara Catholic Church in Toronto, Canada. The Syro-Malankara Catholic Eparchy in the USA and Canada acknowledges the remarkable pastoral leadership provided by Rev. Fr. Abraham Lukose Kizhakkedath over the last fourteen (14) years and expresses deep gratitude. Rev. Fr. Abraham Lukose Kizhakkedath will return to India to continue his ministry for the Eparchy of Mavelikkara.
