Appointment of Rev. Fr. Jobin Thomas as Eparchial Representative on the God With Us Eastern Catholic Formation Board
It is with great pleasure that the St. Mary Queen of Peace Syro-Malankara Catholic Eparchy in the USA and Canada announces the appointment of Rev. Fr. Jobin Thomas as the Eparchy's representative on the God With Us Eastern Catholic Formation Board.
Rev. Fr. Jobin Thomas, who currently serves as the Faith Formation Director for the Eparchy, will now assume the representative role on the aforementioned board. This board plays a vital role in developing and guiding educational and spiritual formation programs for Eastern Catholic Churches throughout North America.

St. Mary, Queen of Peace Syro-Malankara Catholic Eparchy in the USA & Canada extends hearty congratulations and prayerful best wishes to the Archbishop of Toronto, His Grace Francis Leo, who will be elevated to the College of Cardinals.
The Holy Father will hold a Consistory for the creation of the new Cardinals on December 8, 2024, at the Vatican. The St. Mary, Queen of Peace Syro-Malankara Catholic Eparchy extends our heartiest congratulations and prayerful wishes to His Grace Archbishop Leo and the Archdiocese of Toronto.
Clergy Retreat 2024
The Syro-Malankara Catholic Eparchy's annual retreat took place from September 30 to October 4, 2024, at the serene Don Bosco Retreat Center nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Rockland. The retreat saw the participation of His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Philipos Mar Stephanos and 19 priests, who were guided by Rev. Fr. Daey Kunnath.
Bishop Stephanos Attends the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) Plenary Assembly meeting
The Eparchial Bishop, Most Rev. Dr. Philipos Mar Stephanos, attended the Plenary Assembly of the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) held from September 23rd to 27th, 2024, in Beaupré, Quebec. It brought together 79 bishops to deliberate, discern, and discuss the life of the Church in Canada. The topics covered during the week included:
Farewell to Rev. Fr. Abraham Lukose Kizhakkedath
Rev. Fr. Abraham Lukose Kizhakkedath has been relieved of his responsibilities as Pastor of the St. Thomas Syro-Malankara Catholic Church in London, Ontario, and as the Moderator of the St. Mary Syro-Malankara Catholic Church in Toronto, Canada. The Syro-Malankara Catholic Eparchy in the USA and Canada acknowledges the remarkable pastoral leadership provided by Rev. Fr. Abraham Lukose Kizhakkedath over the last fourteen (14) years and expresses deep gratitude. Rev. Fr. Abraham Lukose Kizhakkedath will return to India to continue his ministry for the Eparchy of Mavelikkara.
Rev. Fr. Jobin Thomas appointed as the Pastor of St. Thomas Syro-Malankara Catholic Church, London, Canada
Rev. Fr. Jobin Thomas has been appointed Pastor of St. Thomas Syro-Malankara Catholic Church in London, Canada, effective August 26, 2024. He previously served as the Associate Pastor of St. Thomas Syro-Malankara Catholic Church in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and has also held the position of Chancery Secretary for the Eparchy. The Eparchy sends its warm congratulations and best wishes as he begins this new ministry.

The 2024 MCYMNA Conference, held in Austin, Texas, from August 1 to 4, was a vibrant gathering of young people from across North America, united for a weekend of faith, fellowship, and fun. The Conference opened with a lively mix of introductions, a scavenger hunt, and a movie night, setting a joyful tone and fostering new connections.
