Convention 2023 Bishop's Message

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Jesus Christ,
Cordial Greetings to you!

I invite you most cordially to participate in the 11th Syro Malankara Catholic Convention to be held from July 20th to 23, 2023 at Hilton, Parsippany, New Jersey, One Hilton Ct, Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ 07054. Our convention is a unique opportunity to foster and revive our ecclesial unity and fellowship, after the Covid 19 pandemic. As always, our Convention promotes manifold aspects of our individual and ecclesial identity and growth.

The theme of the Convention is: “Rooted in Christ and Sacred Traditions”. It is based on the Bible verses from Colossians 2:6-7. “So, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in him, rooted in him and built upon him and established in the faith as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.” This theme is selected in connection with the exhortations of the universal church and based on the felt needs of our faithful in North America.

This Convention will be blessed and animated by His Beatitude Moran Mor Baselios Cardinal Cleemis, the Catholicos and Head of our Church, eminent ecclesiastical dignitaries, and outstanding resource personalities.
